Lionel Scaloni has not discussed the allegations of racist insults with Benfica’s Gianluca Prestianni ahead of Argentina’s next friendly.

According to Glorioso 1904, the Argentina coach said he had not spoken to the 20-year-old about what happened and added he was not the right person to address the issue.

Prestianni is under UEFA investigation following an accusation by Vinicius Jr during Benfica’s meeting with Real Madrid on 17 February. UEFA has faced criticism over the time taken to issue a formal position on any potential sanction.

This season Prestianni has made 34 competitive appearances for Benfica, 22 in Liga Portugal Betclic, seven in the Champions League, two in the Taça de Portugal, two in the Taça da Liga and one in the Supertaça.

Across 1,693 minutes he has scored three goals and provided two assists. He is valued at 12 million euros.
