Lisa Naalsund joins Millie Turner at Birmingham City | OneFootball

After completing the signing of Millie Turner from Manchester United, WSL 2 winners Birmingham City have also announced the arrival of Lisa Naalsund.

The Norwegian midfielder joins the newly-promoted side after three and a half years with the Red Devils having joined the club from Brann at the start of 2023.

Naalsund went on to feature 74 times for the Red Devils, scoring eight times and she now joins teammate Millie Turner at the Blues – with the two also announcing their engagement this summer.

"When I had the chats with the club, they just gave me instantly a very good feeling about it," the 31-year-old said about joining Birmingham City. 

"When you're debating which club to go to, it's always that feeling in your stomach, and that just decides where you go.

"This was the place that just excited me the most and the people were really nice. I think it's a really good project here, coming up to the WSL, and I feel like the future here can be quite bright. I'm just very excited to be a part of it."

Last season, Naalsund made 34 appearances for United in all competitions of which 16 came from the bench.
