Lisandro Martinez, Noussair Mazraoui and Matthijs de Ligt were not part of the Manchester United training this morning, according to Sky Sports reporter Danyal Khan.
De Ligt has been unavailable for selection for Man United since last November but was doing gym and rehabilitation work at Carrington last week.
The Dutchman had come close to returning to full fitness on a couple of occasions but suffered setbacks and is not nearing a return at the moment.
Mazraoui did not play against Aston Villa last time out due to a knock he sustained against Newcastle and may not return until after the international break.
Martinez was tipped to return for the Bournemouth trip on Friday, but it appears Man United manager Michael Carrick will have to rely on Leny Yoro to partner with Harry Maguire at centre-back again for the Cherries game.
The Red Devils are not back in action until April 13 after their Friday game, and they could have the aforementioned trio available by then when they host Leeds United.
Carrick will hope his players on international duty later this month return unscathed for the most crucial part of the season.
Man United have eight games left this term and will secure a top-four spot if they win seven of them.
The Red Devils are desperate to return to the elite European competition after missing out entirely on continental football this season, and they need a strong end to the campaign to book a spot in the Champions League next term.
The likes of Villa, Liverpool and Chelsea are hot on their trail and Man United cannot afford to drop any crucial points right now.
