According to CaughtOffside, Liverpool and Chelsea have held talks with the agent of Eduardo Camavinga in recent weeks, amid growing links to a summer exit from Real Madrid.

It has been a difficult campaign for the France international, who has not nailed down a regular starting role. Injuries have played a part, and with Thiago Pitarch’s emergence and the impending return of Jude Bellingham, he is likely to miss out for the run-in.

If that proves the case, Camavinga could consider moving on in the summer. He joined Madrid in 2021 from Rennes, and the report states the feeling inside the club is that his spell is nearing its end, with an asking price set at more than €50m.

At this stage Liverpool are thought to be ahead of Chelsea in the race. They have tracked him for some time, and this could be the moment they try to prise him from the Bernabeu.

How the situation develops over the coming weeks remains to be seen. Madrid want to sign a new midfielder, so at least one departure would make sense, and although Dani Ceballos is a prime candidate, there is also scope for Camavinga to end his five-year stay.
