Liverpool could sign a player who is available and who statistically outperformed Isak when it comes to goal scoring in the Premier League this season and he's someone who has been on the club's radar for a long time, too.
The Reds wanted to sign Jhon Duran while he was playing in the MLS for Chicago Fire. But as per GOAL, the Reds were beaten in the race to sign the Colombian by Aston Villa.
Fast forward two years and Duran has been a bit of a journeyman. After moving to Aston Villa in the first six months of last season he really established himself as a prolific forward.
In fact in the Premier League season, he averaged the most goals per 90 minutes (1.01). More than Salah (0.77) and Alexander Isak (0.75) as per FotMob.
That's why Al Nassr splashed the cash on him in January. And on the pitch, Duran has continued to deliver in Saudi Arabia. He scored 12 goals in 18 matches averaging 0.71 goals per 90 minutes.
But off the pitch, it's a move that hasn't seemingly worked out for him. It appears that the Colombian wants to move.
Fabrizio Romano revealed that he's in talks to sign for Fenerbahce with Al Nassr ready to accept his departure.
Surely though if he had the option he would like to return to the Premier League and given the fact that he is now on the move, Liverpool have a golden chance to sign him.
Duran is a 21-year-old who is already a proven goal-scorer in the Premier League, there are few better opportunities in the market right now.
