Juventus might face a formidable foe if they’ll try again to lure Randal Kolo Muani, as Liverpool have shortlisted him as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah, who’s leaving the club, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs.
The Reds have taken an interest as they are intrigued by the Frenchman’s versatility. He’ll be very available in the summer, when he’ll return to PSG following a loan spell at Tottenham. He hasn’t produced much in the Premier League this campaign, scoring and assisting once in 25 appearances. Instead, he has hit the net four times and dished out two helpers in UEFA Champions League play.
Juventus risk encountering intense competition from Liverpool and other outfits if they don’t move quickly for Kolo Muani. The player waited for them until the end of the past summer window before heading elsewhere, though.
The striker’s valuation has decreased to about €35M, making the negotiation easier. PSG could be keen on Jonathan David, who was unearthed by their current director, Lucas Campos, back in the day. A swap deal could be on the table.
It’s all up in the air for the Bianconeri since it’s not sure whether they’ll come to terms with Dusan Vlahovic. If they did, they might refrain from targeting another highly-rated center-forward. Plus, they have to find a landing spot for Lois Openda, which will be a chore. Even if a trade was a real possibility, it’s far from certain that David will agree to depart after choosing his next team very carefully last year. All those things will need precious time to get sorted. He’ll have to be very patient again if he’s hell-bent on returning.
