Rodrygo Goes is staring at an uncertain future at Real Madrid, having not played a single minute in the team’s La Liga opener against CA Osasuna.
The 24-year-old attacker did not have a prominent role at the FIFA Club World Cup either and things do not seem to be changing for him, leading to speculations of a summer departure.
A move to the Premier League seems like a distinct possibility for Rodrygo, where he continues to attract significant interest.
Now, Fichajes reports that Liverpool have forcefully entered the race to sign Rodrygo in the final phase of the summer transfer window.
The Brazilian international is already negotiating with his agents for a move to the Premier League, which is his chosen destination, with Manchester City also interested.
Under Arne Slot, Liverpool are building an ambitious project and have gone all-out this summer to bring in top players across multiple positions.

However, the Reds are facing some obstacles in their pursuit of Alexander Isak, potentially opening the door to a move for Rodrygo.
Manchester City are also in the running to sign the Brazilian attacker. Pep Guardiola’s side could pocket €80 million from Tottenham for the sale of Savinho, a deal that would free up both space and budget to move for the Real Madrid ace.
Guardiola has followed Rodrygo closely, particularly in his standout performances in the UEFA Champions League. He considers him a player who can adapt to his system, capable of performing both on the wing and in more central roles.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez maintains the position that a player under contract until 2028 will not be given away on the cheap.
However, having initially demanded €100 million for Rodrygo, the Merengues are now willing to negotiate for a figure between €70-80 million.
