Liverpool don't often bring players back but they should as a huge opportunity has opened up.
In the club's history, very few players have played for the Reds in not just one but two stints. Robbie Fowler, Ian Rush and Craig Bellamy are just a few on this distinguished list.
The opportunity to play for Liverpool once is rare, but to do it twice you have to be a really good player.
The kind of player fans absolutely adore and go crazy for.
That is what Fowler and Rush were. Fowler was anointed as God by the Kop, Rush is the club's top-scorer of all time.
Bellamy was a beloved character, too. He left Liverpool a bit too soon during his first spell and in his second spell delivered a League Cup trophy playing a key role in the Reds' route to Wembley triumph.
In the modern era, few players have had the opportunity to return. But now there is a chance Richard Hughes cannot pass up.
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Philippe Coutinho has decided to leave Vasco da Gama with immediate effect. The Brazilian is now a free agent and this update opens the door for Liverpool to sign him.
Still only 33-years-old, Coutinho isn't that young. Last season he made 16 goal contributions for the club and this season he has four in seven games.
He's still got the twinkle toes and his brilliant magical technical quality.
Liverpool have struggled with their lack of creativity this season, so why not bring in Coutinho?
For the right deal, he could be an option off the bench. Slot doesn't exactly have a lot of options at the moment. Coutinho could provide a key in breaking opposition teams down.
