In a recent report, Fichajes claimed that Liverpool have joined the race for River Plate winger Ian Subiabre. It has been mentioned that the Reds are facing competition in the form of Chelsea and Arsenal in the race to land the Argentine wide player next year.

Subiabre’s Impressive Rise In Argentine Football

The 18-year-old has come through the youth ranks of River Plate and has done well to establish himself as an important member of their first team recently. Subiabre has made 20 senior appearances for the Argentine club this season, scoring one goal and securing one assist in various competitions.

The talented teenager has caught the eye with his performances on the right side of River Plate’s attack. He is currently among the best young wingers in Argentine football, so Liverpool would do well to win the race for his services next year.

His current contract at River Plate will run out at the end of 2026, which could open the door for the Reds to sign him on a cut-price deal this January or next summer.

Liverpool Have Joined The Race For Subiabre: Is He A Prospect For The Future?

Subiabre is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet and has got the vision to create some inviting chances for his teammates in the final third. He can shoot the ball with venom from long range, but needs to find a way to be more consistent in front of the opponent’s goal.

The Argentine sensation is primarily a right-sided wide player but can also function as a left-winger or as a centre-forward if needed. However, there are some concerns over whether he can cope with the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League.

We can expect Subiabre to bring more quality and depth to Liverpool boss Arne Slot’s attack in the long run. He has the potential to be a future star in English football as long as he continues to improve with each year.

At 18, Subiabre is undoubtedly a prospect to watch out for in the future. Thus, the Merseyside club should focus on going all out to get him on board in 2026.
