Thiago Alcantara only played 98 games for Liverpool before being forced to retire in 2024 due to a series of injuries suffered throughout his career. 

Today, he returned and scored within six minutes to give the Reds the lead in their Legends game with Borussia Dortmund.

The 34-year-old played the ball to Ryan Babel, darted into the box and received a return pass from the Dutchman. He then brilliantly finished from a very tight angle past Roman Weidenfeller. 

Added to the three he scored in his four years in red, all four of his goals have now come at Anfield. 

Many watching fans might wonder whether the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich man could still do a job in midfield, especially as they watch him combine with Steven Gerrard in a fantasy pairing.
