Liverpool are interested in Juventus midfielder Khephren Thuram, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.
The Reds’ midfield was a major area of concern last season, with Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch both falling short of their usual standards.
Liverpool are now considering a move for Thuram. They face competition from Manchester United, Sunderland, Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United.
Galatasaray and Fenerbahce have also made enquiries, but he is reportedly not interested in a move to Turkey. Paris Saint-Germain are also monitoring his situation.
Juventus are aiming to sell players to reinvest in the squad. They have placed a £43 million asking price on the midfielder, according to Tuttosport.
The 25-year-old joined the Old Lady in the 2024/25 season. He helped them qualify for the Champions League and was named in the Serie A Team of the Season.
However, he struggled last season, registering six league goal involvements, four fewer than he did in the previous season.
Thuram could be a good addition for Liverpool if he can rediscover his best form. He is physically dominant and athletic, making him well-suited to the Premier League.
Thuram’s progressive passing ability would also help the Reds move the ball forward from deep, making it easier to break down stubborn defences.
He could represent excellent value in the current inflated market.
Liverpool are also interested in Lille’s Ayyoub Bouaddi, but striking a deal would not be easy, due to his valuation and the competition for his services.
Liverpool are also focused on strengthening their attack. They have suffered a blow in their pursuit of RB Leipzig teenage sensation Yan Diomande, but are exploring alternatives.
