Liverpool still have a lot of work to do before their team is ready to challenge for the Premier League title.

The Reds were expected to at least put up a decent fight to try and retain their title during the 2025-26 campaign but, that evidently didn't end up happening.

Their poor performances resulted in Arne Slot being relieved of his duties with several members of the Reds' first-team squad being linked with a move away.

These rumours have remained consistent for a while now and, since the Reds are set up to be a sell-to-buy team, they won't be able to make all that many additions without selling at least one or two of their players.

So, the fact that they're about to go 'all in' for one of their main targets proves that change is on its way.

Liverpool are ready to go 'all in' on Bradley Barcola

The Egyptian King terminated his contract with the Anfield outfit early after failing to get along with Slot.

However, by the time the Dutchman was sacked, the wheels were already in motion for Salah's exit which led to most fans believing that Diomande was going to come in and replace him.

But, despite the Ivorian saying that his dream would be to one day play for Liverpool, he's now chosen to join Paris Saint-Germain instead.

This has forced Richard Hughes to look elsewhere with a fresh report from Caught Offside sharing that he's now ready to go 'all in' for Bradley Barcola.

"The Liverpool links are concrete. He’s now very much top of their list of targets due to Yan Diomande being out of reach. The RB Leipzig winger’s likely arrival at PSG has also very clearly opened this door," they wrote.

"'Liverpool plan to go all in for Barcola,' one source said. 'There are other targets too, because it won’t be easy to convince PSG, but Barcola is the one they want. Their recruitment team have done their homework on him and this is likely to accelerate after the World Cup.'

"'Liverpool love Barcola and they’re ready to invest in a top winger,' another source said. 'It’s true that PSG would rather keep him, though. I can’t say for sure right now if they’ll let him go for a price Liverpool or anyone else would find reasonable.'"

Liverpool must put a limit on the amount they're willing to spend to bring Bradley Barcola in

Even though Barcola would be an impressive acquisition, there has to be a limit on how much Liverpool are willing to spend on him.

At the moment, it feels like PSG don't want to lose the Frenchman despite signing Maghnes Akliouche and Yan Diomande while still having others such as Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Desire Doue, Ousmane Dembele and Ibrahima Mbaye among their ranks.

All of these players deserve to be starting games at this point in their careers so, if PSG manage to keep them all, it'll be almost impossible to keep them happy.

Barcola is one of PSG's stand-out players as he managed to net 13 goals across all competitions during the 2025-26 season.

But, since Luis Enrique didn't start him during the Champions League final, the attacker has wanted to exit the Parc de Princes.

And, while he'd be a guaranteed starter at Liverpool, the amount of money that the Ligue 1 outfit are likely to demand for him will be extortionate.

In fact, it could even exceed the total that PSG pay for Diomande even though he only has two years left on his current deal.

There are so many things that still need to be ironed out at Anfield this summer but, if Barcola is their main target, Liverpool must ensure that they don't bid an obscene amount of money to bring him in, especially with all the other areas of their squad that also need upgrading.
