Liverpool ready to spend big on Valverde
Liverpool is looking to bolster its midfield for 2026. According to reports, the club is prepared to pay around €150 million for Federico Valverde, who currently plays for Real Madrid.

The Uruguayan midfielder, who can also operate as a right-back, is seen as the perfect addition to Arne Slot’s squad. This potential investment comes on the heels of a lavish summer for Liverpool, with over £400 million already spent on new signings. Still, the team has struggled to find consistency in midfield, with players like Alexis Mac Allister, Florian Wirtz, and Curtis Jones not always delivering top performances.
Valverde is under contract with Real Madrid until 2029, so the Spanish club is under no obligation to sell. However, €150 million is a hard offer to turn down. Liverpool could make a major move to secure one of La Liga’s key players.
