It is no secret that Real Madrid have completed the signing of Trent Alexander-Arnold, who is set to join the club on a free transfer.
However, Real Madrid are seeking an unconventional transfer, looking to sign the Englishman well before his contract expire on June 30.
The club want the right-back to join well before time as they want the defender to play in the FIFA Club World Cup.
Recent reports even suggest that Real Madrid have even requested Liverpool to release Alexander-Arnold ahead of time for free.
It appears Los Blancos are unwilling to pay any fee for Alexander-Arnold and want Liverpool to leave him purely as a gesture of goodwill.
However, according to MARCA, Liverpool have already rejected that proposal. The English club maintain a firm stance: Alexander-Arnold remains their player until June 30, and an early departure would only be sanctioned if a transfer fee is paid.

While Liverpool have accepted that the academy graduate is leaving for Madrid, they are not prepared to let him leave without some form of compensation.
This is hardly surprising as Liverpool are quite hurt by the departure of the English international, considering that they were expecting the player to renew his deal and continue at Anfield.
There is a potential workaround: Alexander-Arnold could choose to terminate his own contract in June, making himself a free agent before the Club World Cup window opens. But this route is complicated and far from likely.
Therefore, unless Real Madrid come up with an offer for Liverpool, it is unlikely that Alexander-Arnold would be allowed to join Los Blancos for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup.
