Liverpool have reportedly struck a deal with Yan Diomande over a summer move.

It's no secret that Liverpool are in the market for Yan Diomande. The Ivorian has lit up the Bundesliga this season since arriving at RB Leipzig last summer and that's put all of Europe on notice.

The Reds' struggles on the wing last season opened the door for a new winger this summer. Mohamed Salah's exit then made it an absolute priority if they're to have a functional team next season.

Diomande is the pick to fill the void. Enough that Liverpool put up a €100m offer to Leipzig last week - one that was rejected.

But Media Foot reports that Liverpool have struck a deal with Diomande himself. It's only verbal at this stage but the winger has agreed to move to Anfield if they can agree terms with Leipzig.

Of course, that's now the process Liverpool are going through. They're trying to convince Leipzig to accept something relatively close to €100m, even if it now seems that any deal will be quite some way above that.

We imagine that will come down to bonuses and how payments are made. That important thing, though, is that Diomande is happy to move to Liverpool and rule out a move to Paris Saint-Germain, the other club eager to sign him.

That's the big win for the Reds here. See off PSG and they can secure one of the best young wingers in Europe. One of the best young players, even.
