Yan Diomandé (19) is being heavily linked with a move away from RB Leipzig this summer. Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain have been cited as potential destinations for the Ivorian. Now, the winger has revealed that he has “loved” the latter since he was young.
Diomandé logged 13 goals and nine assists with RB Leipzig, and he highly contributed to the Red Bull-owned return to the Champions League. His performances have seen Europe’s elite come sniffing, and according to a report from Foot Mercato, he already has an agreement in place with PSG, recently crowned UEFA Champions League champions for consecutive seasons.
Speaking to Téléfoot, Diomandé, when asked whether he was pleased about PSG’s UCL feat, responded that his father is a fan of Les Parisiens. In an interview transcribed by L’Équipe, he added, “I have loved PSG since I was a kid but I am not looking ahead to my future. I am staying focused on the World Cup, then we will see.”
Diomandé, a French speaker, will face Les Bleus in a pre-tournament friendly on Thursday. His side will then face Ecuador, Germany, and Curacao in the group stages of the tournament.
