Liverpool go in search of a first Premier League victory in five weeks on Saturday night as they take on Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium.
The Reds haven’t actually won in London since Darwin Nunez’s stoppage-time heroics in this fixture last season, with six subsequent visits to the capital all ending in defeat (when penalty shoot-outs are included).
However, Arne Slot’s team blew off more than a few cobwebs in midweek by thrashing Eintracht Frankfurt 5-1, and a similar ruthlessness against the Bees tonight would be most welcome.
Liverpool have a new name to add to their injury list this week, though, with Jeremie Frimpong going off in the first half in Germany on Wednesday. Alisson Becker is also sidelined, although the head coach had been hopeful of Alexander Isak and Ryan Gravenberch potentially returning for this game.

Slot makes three changes from the Liverpool side which started the win in Frankfurt.
Giorgi Mamardashvili continues to deputise for Alisson, with the familiar pairing of Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate in front of him. Having begun on the bench in midweek, Conor Bradley and Milos Kerkez both return to the starting XI tonight.
Curtis Jones and birthday boy Dominik Szoboszlai continue in midfield, with Florian Wirtz set to revert to his more customary number 10 role as Mo Salah comes back into the side, having been among the substitutes in Germany on Wednesday.
Elsewhere in attack, Hugo Ekitike leads the line, with Cody Gakpo on the left flank as he seeks to score for the fourth game in succession.
Isak and Gravenberch aren’t in the matchday squad at all after their midweek injury concerns, but there’s a place on the bench for Kieran Morrison after his sensational display for Liverpool’s under-19s in the UEFA Youth League this week.
