Liverpool the latest club linked with move for Barcelona star | OneFootball

Premier League giants Liverpool are amongst a number of clubs expressing an interest in the signature of Barcelona star Ferran Torres this summer.

This comes amid the understanding that the versatile attacker could be on the move over the weeks ahead.

Frontman Ferran is of course fresh off the highlight evening of his entire career to date, on Sunday. Introduced off the bench in the World Cup final meeting between Spain and Argentina, the 26-year-old netted the only goal in a 1-0 triumph for La Roja.

And such exploits will not have gone at all unnoticed on the part of leading club executives across Europe.

Over the course of the summer to date, a whole host of clubs have been credited with an interest in Ferran’s signature. Ahead of the expiration of the former Manchester City man’s Barcelona contract in 12 months’ time, Paris Saint-Germain have been the side most frequently pushed as a potential landing spot.

As alluded to above, though, the reigning European champions could now face fresh competition for a deal by way of the Premier League.

As revealed by French football insider Loïc Tanzi, Liverpool are keen to bring Ferran back to England for the 2026/27 campaign.
