Fabrizio Romano Provides Key Update

Romano addressed the growing noise around Leao’s future, stating:

“Rafa Leao, many questions on the AC Milan winger, because this could be one of the names of the summer transfer window,” he said on his YouTube channel.

“First, let me clarify one thing, it has not been an easy season for Leao, especially the second part of the season, but AC Milan are not actively looking to sell him. He is not a player who is completely out of the Milan project.”

The update underlines Milan’s current stance, with no immediate push to part ways with one of their key assets.

Romano continued by outlining the early stage nature of Premier League interest:

“But in case of a good proposal, for the player and for the club, there is a possibility of seeing Rafa Leao leaving AC Milan in the summer transfer window.”

“There are many rumours coming from England about Premier League clubs,” he said.

“I can tell you that some Premier League clubs have made calls to understand the situation, how much do AC Milan want, the salary situation.”

“There’s been two Premier League clubs, from what I heard, calling to understand the situation. We are not talking about official proposals, official negotiations, but Premier League clubs have started making calls.”

At present, Liverpool and other interested parties remain in an exploratory phase. No formal bids have been submitted, and discussions have yet to advance into negotiations.
