Liverpool travel to the Emirates tonight while they seek to halt Arsenal’s momentum and cement their position in the top four.
Arne Slot’s side currently trails the leaders by far but remains unbeaten in their last nine fixtures. Despite their resilience, the Reds have struggled for consistency on their travels and now face the most difficult away assignment in the division. A victory for Liverpool would not only close the gap at the top but also serve as a major statement of intent for the second half of the campaign.
Arne Slot is grappling with a significant availability crisis in his forward line. Hugo Ekitike is a major doubt with a hamstring strain, joining Mohamed Salah and Alexander Isak on the list of unavailable attackers. Furthermore, midfield anchor Wataru Endo remains a long-term absentee. However, Florian Wirtz has been cleared to feature despite a minor hamstring concern earlier in the week.
Consequently, the burden of goalscoring will fall on Cody Gakpo, who has a prolific record in London this season. He will be supported by Dominik Szoboszlai and Curtis Jones in a creative unit tasked with breaking down the league’s meanest home defence. Alisson Becker will anchor the side behind a familiar back four of Conor Bradley, Ibrahima Konate, Virgil van Dijk, and Milos Kerkez as Liverpool look to claim a vital three points.
Liverpool predicted XI: Alisson; Bradley, Konate, Van Dijk, Kerkez; Mac Allister, Gravenberch; Szoboszlai, Wirtz, Jones; Gakpo
