Arne Slot hands a debut to a summer signing at Anfield
Arne Slot is expected to make plenty of changes to his Liverpool side for the Carabao Cup fourth-round tie against Crystal Palace.
The reigning Premier League champions go into the game at Anfield on the back of a 3-2 defeat by Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday evening.
The big talking point there was Mohamed Salah earning a recall to the starting XI after being dropped for the 5-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League three days prior.
That victory ended a run of four straight defeats for the Reds, but they found themselves on the end of another loss in west London as Dango Ouattara, Kevin Schade, and Igor Thiago netted for the Bees.
Now, they face Crystal Palace, who have already defeated them twice this term - in the Community Shield on penalties in August and in the Premier League meeting at Selhurst Park last month.

With games against Aston Villa, Real Madrid and Manchester City on the horizon, Slot has not passed up on the opportunity to rotate his squad where possible.
Freddie Woodman makes his first start for the club with Alisson Becker still out injured and Giorgi Mamardashvili rested.
Jeremie Frimpong’s hamstring injury allows Calvin Ramsay to make a rare appearance at right-back once again. Joe Gomez is set to be partnered by Andy Robertson in central defence as Ibrahima Konate and Virgil van Dijk are rested too.
Ryan Gravenberch, Curtis Jones, Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike are among the senior players not involved at all, but Kieran Morrison makes his debut too.
Elsewhere in attack, Federico Chiesa and talented youngster Rio Ngumoha are handed starts.
Liverpool XI: Woodman, Gomez, Endo, Kerkez, Mac Allister, Chiesa, Robertson, Nyoni, Ramsay, Morrison, Ngumoha.
Substitutes: Pecsi, Gordon, Kone-Doherty, Pinnington, Figueroa, Nallo, Pilling, Lucky, Laffey.
