Arne Slot makes changes in defence
Trent Alexander-Arnold drops to the bench as Liverpool takes on Tottenham in their Carabao Cup semi-final first leg in north London.
Both Ibrahima Konate and Conor Bradley returned from injuries suffered during the Champions League win over Real Madrid in November for Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Manchester United at Anfield.
Having both available gives Arne Slot options, particularly at right-back. Alexander-Arnold was heavily criticised for his display against United and he does not start here, as Bradley comes into the side.
Jarell Quansah and Kostas Tsimikas also come into the defence, but it is otherwise largely a first-choice lineup named by Arne Slot.
Dominik Szoboszlai missed Sunday's game due to illness and is absent once again. Joe Gomez is the only injured player following the hamstring injury he suffered against West Ham in late December.
Darwin Nunez was booked against United and will miss Liverpool’s next Premier League match, but is available here.
He is only on the bench though, as Diogo Jota comes into the side to lead the line.
