"I believe it's essential for an ambitious club to have two top-class players in the number 9 role—and not just in that position. That’s what we have since the end of the transfer window. Every position is doubled, even tripled in some cases, which can create other problems, but we won’t complain. For a coach, having two players of this caliber is a real asset. With 20 matches ahead of us until the winter break, we’ll need to manage playing time and ensure we start every match with a strong team. Olivier and Hamza have complementary profiles, and Mathias Fernandez-Pardo can join them as well. It’s great for covering absences and for tactical flexibility to have players who can slot in anywhere. Hamza didn’t get much game time with Rangers—he needs rhythm, he needs to get his physical sensations back. He’s got the technical ability and the energy to make an impact, whether coming off the bench or playing 60 minutes. Over the course of a full match, it might be more difficult for him right now, but he can still bring a technical spark when he comes on or for an hour of play. He could unlock tight situations with his skill in small spaces and his ability to link up play," he explained at the press conference.
