Lucas Paquetá greeted by Flamengo fans in Rio and taunts Vasco | OneFootball

Lucas Paquetá was greeted by Flamengo supporters on his arrival in Rio on Thursday and joined them in a chant aimed at Vasco da Gama at Galeão International Airport.

According to Coluna Do Fla, he sang a provocative chant commonly used by Flamengo fans to goad their rivals.

Flamengo have offered 42 million euros, approximately R$260 million, to West Ham to sign Paquetá. The English club accepted and will be paid in instalments through to the end of 2028.

The club must file his signed contract with the Brazilian Football Confederation, CBF, for registration in the Boletim Informativo Diário, after which he can play.

Flamengo face Corinthians on Sunday at Mané Garrincha in Brasília in the Supercopa do Brasil, with kick-off at 16:00 Brasília time.
