Chelsea defender Lucy Bronze has signed a contract extension at the club until the summer of 2027.
The 34-year-old joined the Blues from Barcelona in the summer of 2024, making 56 appearances and scoring five goals, as Sonia Bompastor’s side collected four trophies in her first two seasons at the club.
Bronze becomes the second Chelsea player to commit their future at the club in as many months after fellow defender Sandy Baltimore signed a contract extension until 2030 at the end of May.
Since being at Chelsea, the full back has been voted into the FIFPRO Women’s World XI twice, whilst also helping England retain their European Championship title in 2025. She also finished in ninth place in the 2025 Ballon d’Or.

Bronze said: “I feel like this is the right thing for me at this time. I’ve really enjoyed the last two years being at Chelsea and back in England, and I feel like we’re in a place now where we’re moving forward as a club. Added to the move to Stamford Bridge, it’s a really exciting time to be part of the team.”
