Bayern have averaged 3.7 goals per game in theBundesliga this season, scoring 82 times in just 22 league fixtures.

At that rate, the German champions are on course to break the record for goals scored in a single season across Europe's top five leagues.

That record is held by Torino, who scored 125 goals during the 1947-48 Serie A season. Real Madrid hold the record for the highest-scoring season this century after netting 121 goals in 2011-12.

Kane, Diaz and Michael Olise have combined for 73 goals across all competitions so far this season. Discussing their form, Diaz told Sky Germany that he is 'proud' to play alongside the duo.

He opened up further on the latter, calling Kane a 'machine' and admitting the quality of the England captain has 'surprised' him after witnessing his level daily in training.

“It makes me very proud to play in a team with Harry and Michael. They are technically spectacular," Diaz said. Harry, for example, just does everything well. He has really surprised me. I've seen him play in England because we've also played against Tottenham several times.

"But it's one thing to see him on the other side. It's another to actually share the dressing room with him and be on the training pitch with him every day and see how he works for us as a team, how he moves, how he keeps dropping deep, demanding the ball, and of course, how he scores goals.

"He's a machine. He really does everything well. I'm very proud to be part of this attack.”
