“Kylian Mbappe is a wonderful player and a fantastic person, it’s difficult to find a special guy like him.

“He’s fantastic. It was just a pity to see him leaving and joining Real Madrid,” said Enrique during an interview with Movistar+ (h/t Fabrizio Romano).

Enrique highlighted that when he first encountered Kylian, he was not only struck by his footballing ability but also by his personality.

He noted that Mbappe has a human side that stands out, calling him a warm, approachable, and affectionate individual. The PSG coach was clearly impressed by how the French forward conducted himself both on and off the pitch.

“He is a person of an exceptional personal level like you rarely find when you arrive and see a player of this level . Human, affectionate, close… A wonderful player,” he added.

During their time together at PSG, Mbappe delivered an outstanding season under Enrique’s guidance, scoring an impressive 44 goals and providing 10 assists across 48 matches. These statistics are a testament to the Frenchman’s extraordinary skills.

Now, as a Real Madrid player, Mbappe is trying to replicate that form with the Spanish giants. He has already managed to score 6 goals and provide 1 assist in 8 appearances, but he is still working to reach his peak performance.

Enrique’s admiration for Mbappe extends beyond the player’s abilities, showing a deep appreciation for his personal qualities.

Although their time together at PSG was relatively short, Enrique’s words reflect how much he valued the French star’s contribution, both as a footballer and as a person.

While PSG may have lost one of their best players, Mbappe is now showcasing his talent at Real Madrid, with his former coach’s praise continuing to follow him.
