Coach admits team made “too many mistakes”

Luis Enrique sends warning after PSG loss to Monaco
Luis Enrique admitted PSG struggling after 3-1 home loss to Monaco, days before their Champions League clash with Chelsea.
Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique admitted his team is going through a difficult period after their 3-1 defeat to Monaco in Ligue 1 on Friday.
The Spanish coach had defended his players in recent weeks insisting the team was attacking and defending better than last season.
However the match against Monaco told a different story as PSG struggled to stop repeated attacks from the visitors.
Monaco created several chances, often breaking quickly through the middle and wide areas while PSG looked unable to control the game or slow down the counterattacks.
After the match, Luis Enrique did not hide his disappointment with the performance. He admitted his players lacked accuracy in many parts of the game and committed unusual errors.
The coach said PSG made too many mistakes and described the moment as important stage of the season stressing that the team must now work to regain confidence.
Enrique also tried to stay positive despite the result saying he still believes the squad can improve and change the situation in the coming matches.
The defeat was PSG’s seventh loss this season in all competitions and the fourth in their last 13 match. It also came just days before the team hosts Chelsea in first leg of Champions League round of 16.
Luis Enrique admitted the result was far from ideal preparation for such an important European match but insisted he does not want to lose faith in the group.
