Roman Yaremchuk (30) has put up good numbers since joining Olympique Lyonnais on loan back in January. OL would like to make the move permanent, albeit at a discounted price, as per a report from Le Progres.
Yaremchuk joined Les Gones on loan from Olympiacos. He made a quick impact, netting five goals in 14 games in all competitions. Four of those goals came in Ligue 1 as Lyon secured a fourth-place finish. It means that Paulo Fonseca’s side will compete in the preliminary rounds of the UEFA Champions League later this summer.
There will be departures in the forward department before then. It has already been confirmed that Endrick will return to his parent club, Real Madrid, whilst Rachid Ghezzal will leave upon the expiry of his contract at the club.
Looking for a bit of continuity in this sector, Lyon are therefore looking to make Yaremchuk’s move permanent. However, for now at least, they are refusing to pay the €5m buy option included in his loan from Olympiacos. They hope to retain the Ukrainian but at a cut price.
