Mads Bidstrup could become Lyon’s second summer signing

According to L'Équipe, RB Salzburg’s Mads Bidstrup, 25, could become Lyon’s second summer signing, with negotiations said to be progressing.

Lyon must be ready for the Champions League third qualifying round in early August, and have moved quickly. After landing Nice winger Kaïl Boudache, 19, on a five-year contract this week, they have stepped up talks for their priority midfield target, Denmark international Bidstrup.

The high-energy midfielder is attracted by the Lyon project. He remains under contract until 2029, so Salzburg still need convincing, and discussions are ongoing.

The Dane is valued at more than €10m in the market.

Once this move is addressed, Lyon are likely to focus on sales to bring in funds before facing the DNCG in the coming weeks.
