England head coach Thomas Tuchel has named a 35-man squad, recalling Harry Maguire and Kobbie Mainoo while leaving out Trent Alexander-Arnold.
According to L'Équipe, this is England’s final camp before the 2026 World Cup, scheduled for 11 June to 19 July, and the enlarged group allows further assessment before the final list.
Other returnees include Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Dominic Solanke, Noni Madueke, Cole Palmer, Anthony Gordon, Fikayo Tomori, Lewis Hall, Tino Livramento and Aaron Ramsdale.
Maguire, capped 64 times, missed Euro 2024 because of injury. Tomori, on 5 caps, has not featured since 2023, and Calvert-Lewin, with 11 caps, has not been called up since 2021.
Everton midfielder James Garner, 25, and Brighton back-up goalkeeper Jason Steele, 35, receive their first senior call-ups.
Ollie Watkins and Luke Shaw are also out, while Chelsea defenders Reece James and Trevoh Chalobah miss the camp through injury.
England face Uruguay on 27 March then Japan on 31 March.
