Zerozero reports that Inter Movistar have reached an understanding to sign Jó Mahrez for 2026/27, moving ahead of Benfica and Sporting for the Ferreira do Zêzere winger.
The move would take one of Liga Placard’s standout wingers to Spain next season.
Aged 27, Mahrez is preparing to leave Portuguese futsal after four and a half seasons. He first spent two and a half seasons with Nun’Álvares, then the last two with Ferreira do Zêzere.
Over that spell he also represented Angola at two World Cups and the Africa Cup of Nations. Inter Movistar are targeting a return to prominence in international futsal.
Separately, Diego Nunes will leave Benfica at the end of this season. He will not renew his contract with the club, and Palma is one possible destination.
