Kobbie Mainoo’s half-brother, Jordan Mainoo-Hames, was pictured at Old Trafford wearing a ‘free Kobbie Mainoo’ during the club’s 4-4 draw with Bournemouth on Monday.

Mainoo has struggle for first-team football this season and is yet to start a Premier League game.

His half-brother, Jordan, was seen at Old Trafford sporting a ‘free Kobbie Mainoo’ t-shirt in support of his sibling.

The 20-year-old has totalled just 212 minutes of league action and has lost his place in the England squad as a result.

Mainoo requested a loan exit in the summer in search of minutes, but saw a move blocked by the club. He is expected to again push for a temporary exit when the January transfer window opens next month.

Ruben Amorim was not asked about the t-shirt message at full-time but has been repeatedly asked about Mainoo’s situation in recent weeks. Earlier this season, he suggested there were players better suited to his tactical demands.

“The way I play is completely different from the last manager… Kobbie was the only guy that calmed down the game. Now, we have other players… We play different.”

“I understand what you are saying. You love Kobbie… But that doesn’t mean I need to put Kobbie [in] when I feel that I shouldn’t put Kobbie [in], so it’s my decision.”

Napoli are among the clubs interested in signing Mainoo, while there are likely to be Premier League suitors should he become available.
