Cunha’s displays have certainly piqued the interest of several suitors, including Arsenal and Aston Villa. As for Man Utd, they got to witness the Brazilian’s top-notch skills firsthand last December, as he orchestrated Wolves’ 2-0 victory over Ruben Amorim’s sorry men.

Cunha scored the first before creating the second at the death. The Red Devils were certainly convinced afterwards, joining the queue for the delightful star.

According to Football Insider, Cunha is giving all of his admirers a boost in their quest to sign him next summer, as he’s trying to push his way out of Wolverhampton.

The versatile attacker will be adamant about helping his current employers in their quest to remain in the Premier League. But afterwards, he’ll be looking to find himself a club capable of fulfilling his big ambitions. As the source explains, Cunha had insisted on inserting a £62.5 million release clause in his contract upon signing for Wolves, ensuring a way out if necessary.

Hence, his suitors would be able to prise him away from the Molineux simply by activating this clause without having to negotiate a transfer fee with Wolves.

However, the source mentions Cunha’s desire to compete on the biggest stage, namely the UEFA Champions League, which could be a major stumbling block in the United’s path. The Red Devils currently sit 13 in the Premier League, so they’re actually closer to the relegation zone in terms of points than to the Champions League spots.
