Inter Milan head coach Simone Inzaghi couldn’t have wished for a sterner fixture schedule at the beginning of the new calendar year.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, February could be a season-defining month for the defending Serie A champions.
Indeed, the Nerazzurri kicked off the month with a dramatic 1-1 derby draw against bitter rivals AC Milan.
However, that’s only a warm-up for what’s coming next.
Simone Inzaghi and his charges head to Stadio Artemio Franchi to take on Fiorentina tomorrow.
The two sides will renew hostilities only four days later at the San Siro.
Facing Fiorentina looks the least of Inter’s concerns.
Indeed, they’ll meet arch-rivals Juventus in the latest edition of the iconic Derby d’Italia later this month.

Moreover, Inzaghi’s team will lock horns with Lazio in their Coppa Italia quarter-final tie.
Therefore, a home game against Genoa may be the only straightforward clash this month.
It will also be Inter’s last league outing ahead of a tantalizing trip to the Maradona Stadium to encounter Napoli in early March.
