Malick Fofana trains again for Lyon before Europa League trip | OneFootball

Malick Fofana took part in Lyon’s full warm-up on Wednesday morning in Décines-Charpieu, the day before their Europa League round of 16 first leg in Vigo at 21:00.

Olympique Lyonnais began the session at 11:15 on pitch two of their training centre before flying in the afternoon. The squad mirrored Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Paris FC at Groupama Stadium, with Fofana added, according to L'Équipe.

It was the Belgian international’s third session of the week, and he completed the warm-up before media were asked to leave. For now, it is considered premature for the forward to be included in the travelling party, unless Paulo Fonseca opts to involve him around the squad. The team are due to train on Friday morning in Spain before returning via Lyon-Bron airport.

The absentees remain unchanged. Pavel Sulc, Afonso Moreira and Ruben Kluivert are in recovery and did not go out on the pitch. The Portuguese forward worked individually this week.

Sulc and Moreira could be available for next Thursday’s second leg in Décines-Charpieu, but not for Sunday’s 17:15 Ligue 1 visit to Le Havre. Ernest Nuamah trained alone in the ‘fosse’, pitch one, and appears to be further behind than the others.
