Mallorca impressed early at Valencia but let a good performance slip, reflected in mixed ratings.
Valencia failed to work Leo Román before the break, and he had no chance with Sadiq’s effort.
Mojica pressed well and was lively, but his crossing was erratic and he faded. Valjent returned from suspension with little alarm. Omar Mascarell again filled in at centre-back, tidy then tiring before going off.
Maffeo was sharper, duelling with Gayà and helping win the ball high. Valencia appealed for a possible last-gasp penalty on Gayà.
Morlanes looked rejuvenated, neat early then looser, and was replaced on 76. Darder stood out early, twice threatening goal and supplying passes, then lost spark after Sadiq’s strike but set up Samu Costa.
Samu Costa was named MVP and is on 6 goals, heading in from close range while working diligently. Pablo Torre was brighter before the interval, combined well, then faded and went off on 85.
Asano started for the first time since February, showed intent but lacked sharpness and was withdrawn on the hour. Muriqi did not score, his touch was heavy at times, yet he remained committed and sits on 21 league goals.
