Manchester City are closing in on the signing of Antoine Semenyo with the player keen to join the club.

Several of the Premier League's big sides including Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United have been linked with the forward in recent weeks.

The Bournemouth man has been in excellent form again this season, scoring eight and making three assists in seven games for the Cherries in all competitions.

But the £65 million release clause is too good a deal to turn down for some clubs however the Citizens are leading the charge and are in 'advanced talks' to sign the player according to journalists Nizaar Kinsella and Sami Mokbel of BBC Sport.

With the January transfer window not open until January, Bournemouth fans may not have much time to watch the 25-year-old with Andoni Iraola's side having two more fixtures left this month, away to Brentford and then Chelsea.
