Leeds United return to Premier League action at Manchester United on Monday, with 11 players flagged as out or doubtful and four now back.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Michael Carrick’s Red Devils have not played since the Friday before the international break, a 2-2 draw at Bournemouth in which Junior Kroupi’s penalty denied victory. By Monday, they will have gone 23 days without a game, with an 8pm kick-off at Old Trafford.
United’s list includes winger Patrick Dorgu, still a doubt after a January hamstring injury at Arsenal. He has progressed to individual outdoor work and travelled to Dublin for rehabilitation, and involvement against Leeds would be a major surprise. Harry Maguire is suspended after his red card at Bournemouth, while Matthijs de Ligt has not featured since November with a back issue and remains a major doubt with no timescale given.
For Leeds, Anton Stach suffered an ankle ligament injury at West Ham after Max Kilman’s follow through and later left on crutches in a protective boot. He also shared an image of heavy swelling on his Instagram story. A May return is considered more realistic than April.
Joe Rodon picked up an ankle injury early in the second half and faces a similar outlook, with April involvement viewed as unlikely. Dan James missed the tie with an adductor strain and is set to be out for a couple of weeks, so he will miss Monday. Leeds now have the bigger problems on the injury front.
