Manchester United goalkeepers Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir are expected to leave Old Trafford this summer.

According to the Daily Mail, Man Utd want to offload Onana, and Bayindir could follow him out the door.

Onana is currently on loan at Trabzonspor following a disappointing spell with the Red Devils after being lauded as a “quality goalkeeper” in Italy.

He still has two years remaining on his £120,000-a-week deal but faces an uncertain future.

The Cameroon international is keen to return and fight for his place, but Man United are open to a permanent exit as part of efforts to reduce their wage bill.

With Senne Lammens firmly established as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper following his £18.2million arrival last summer, retaining a high-earning back-up is impractical.

Talks between Onana’s representatives and Man United will take place in the coming weeks, although all parties recognise that a move away is the most likely outcome.

Trabzonspor are interested in extending his stay, while Besiktas and Monaco are also monitoring the situation. A switch to Saudi Arabia remains a possibility.

Bayindir could also exit the club. The 27-year-old Turkish international has featured only 17 times since joining from Fenerbahce in 2023, struggling to establish himself.

Man United rejected a January approach from Besiktas due to timing, but would be more receptive to offers this summer, with a return to his homeland on the cards.

Veteran Tom Heaton, who turns 40 next week, is expected to remain in a mentoring role and could be handed a new one-year deal.

However, if both Onana and Bayindir depart, United will be forced into the market.

Lammens has impressed as No 1, but the club should have another quality shot-stopper in the wings.

Stefan Ortega is poised to become a free agent this summer, and he is worth taking a look at. The 33-year-old could be the ideal deputy to Lammens.
