Manchester United face a decision regarding the future of midfielder Casemiro, whose recent resurgence has reignited discussions about his role at the club.
The 33-year-old Brazilian, who joined United from Real Madrid in 2022, has become instrumental under manager Rúben Amorim, particularly in the club's Europa League campaign. Casemiro contributed significantly, scoring in both legs of the semi-final against Athletic Bilbao and providing key assists in the quarter-final comeback against Lyon.
Despite his current contract running until the end of the 2025–26 season, with an option to extend for another year, Trivela report that United have yet to initiate talks about his long-term future. Casemiro has expressed his desire to see out his contract, stating his commitment to the club and his satisfaction with life in Manchester.
The club's management faces a dilemma: whether to retain a high-earning veteran who has proven his value on the pitch or to consider offloading him to manage the wage bill and plan for the future. Interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia and the United States has been reported, but Casemiro appears content to remain at Old Trafford.
