PSG had been tracking Victor Osimhen for more than a year, but it now looks like the long-running saga is coming to an end—with neither PSG nor Manchester United landing the Nigerian striker.
GiveMeSport previously reported that Manchester United was growing increasingly worried about PSG’s pursuit, as the French giants were seen as the favorites to trigger his £63 million release clause and meet his wage demands. But in the end, that move never happened.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Osimhen now wants to stay at Galatasaray. The Turkish side pushed hard to keep him, putting forward a €16 million-per-year salary package, which the striker has agreed to.
Now, it’s up to Galatasaray to strike a deal with Napoli. The Italian club is sticking to the €75 million release clause and has no plans to lower their asking price.

Sky Sport Germany’s Florian Plettenberg reports that Galatasaray are ready to trigger Osimhen’s €75 million release clause. The deal is expected to be finalized this week, with the payment structure currently being sorted out.
Recently, Sky Italy reported that Napoli had turned down Galatasaray’s £47.3 million bid for Osimhen, who scored 37 total goals for the Turkish club last season. Moreover, the Serie A club remain firm on the striker’s €75 million release clause.
This update follows a report from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on Monday, stating that Galatasaray have made an opening offer of €50 million plus €5 million in add-ons for Osimhen. However, Napoli are holding out for a higher fee.
According to Romano, Osimhen is open to a return to Galatasaray and has already agreed to personal terms on a deal running through June 2028. The transfer now hinges on ongoing negotiations between the clubs.
