In a recent report, journalist Mark Brus mentioned that Manchester City are big admirers of Eintracht Frankfurt full-back Nathaniel Brown. It has been revealed that the Mancunian club would have to compete with Arsenal in the race to land the German defender next year.
Brown has proven himself to be a decent performer for Frankfurt in this campaign so far and deserves credit for putting in a few impressive displays for them in the Bundesliga. The 22-year-old scored one goal and earned three assists in 19 appearances for the German outfit this season across all competitions.
The German talent has given a good account of himself on the left flank as he has made 30 tackles, 15 blocks, ten interceptions and 16 clearances in the Bundesliga. He has even been tidy when distributing possession after completing 81.3% of his attempted passes in the German top tier (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at the German club will run out in the summer of 2030. Thus, Man City would have to make a convincing offer if they are serious about recruiting Brown next year.

Brown is a good tackler of the ball and can time his challenges well to secure possession back for his team inside his half. He usually puts his foot through the ball when the opposition are on the offensive and is a good passer of the ball as well.
The German sensation can even chip in by scoring and creating the odd goal for his team going forward. Brown is primarily a left-back but can also fill in as a left-winger if told to do so. However, there are some concerns over whether he can adapt to the physical style and high intensity of the Premier League if Man City can devise a way to sign him next year.
Brown would no doubt add more quality to Pep Guardiola’s defence. He is good enough to nail down a regular starting spot at the Etihad Stadium in the coming years.
At 22, Brown has got the potential to be a world-class player in his position someday. Therefore, Guardiola would be wise to bring him on board in 2026.
