In a recent interview, journalist Graeme Bailey revealed that Manchester City are set to complete a deal for Nottingham Forest star Elliot Anderson. Bailey said,
“I have to be honest, for several weeks now, from numerous sources, I am told that Anderson to City is a done deal.
“City have been on Anderson for months, since last year. I am told Hugo Viana picked him out last summer as one he wanted.”
Anderson is having a solid campaign at the Midlands club after he put in a series of impressive displays for them in the middle of the park. The 23-year-old has scored two goals and earned three assists in 37 matches for Nottingham this season across multiple competitions.
The English talent is among the best central midfielders in the Premier League right now. Thus, it is no surprise that Man City are planning to get a deal done for him this summer.

Anderson loves a tackle and can scan the danger well to secure the ball back for his team inside his half. He doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when needed and is a tidy passer as well.
The English sensation can even chip in by scoring and creating a few important goals for his team. Anderson is primarily a box-to-box midfielder but can also serve as a left-sided wide player or play in the number ten position if required. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at the Mancunian club.
We can expect Anderson to bring more quality and depth to Man City boss Pep Guardiola’s midfield department. He has what it takes to fight for a regular starting spot at the Etihad Stadium in the coming seasons.
At 23, Anderson has his best years ahead of him, which makes him a great fit for the Mancunian club’s needs this summer. He might even help Man City compete for some major trophies in the future. All in all, Guardiola should focus on going all out to bring Anderson to the Mancunian club in this summer transfer window.
