In a recent report, Fichajes mentioned that Manchester City have set their sights on Paris Saint-Germain winger Desire Doue. It has been stated that the Mancunian club are planning to make a €120m offer to sign the French wide player this summer.

Doue’s Impressive Numbers In French Football This Season

Doue is having a fine campaign at the French club as he has been responsible for producing a lot of influential displays in the final third. The French talent has participated in 47 matches for PSG this season, scoring 13 goals and picking up 12 assists in multiple competitions.

The 19-year-old has been a consistent performer on the left flank based on his average of 1.9 shots, 1.9 key passes and 1.8 dribbles per 90 minutes in Ligue 1. He has even been tidy when distributing the ball in the opposition half, as evidenced by his pass completion rate of 85.8% in the French first division (stats via whoscored).

His current contract at Paris Saint-Germain will expire in the summer of 2029 which could make it difficult for Man City to sign him on a cut-price deal this off-season.

Will Doue Be A Dream Option For Manchester City Boss Pep Guardiola?

Doue can use his quickness to get in behind the opponent’s backline. He can create some space for himself to get a few strikes in at goal.

The French sensation is a good playmaker in the final third and can even make some dangerous runs with the ball. He can chip in by scoring and creating his fair share of goals from the wide areas.

Doue is primarily a left-sided wide player but can also function as a right-winger or as a centre-forward if required. We can expect him to add plenty of firepower to Man City boss Pep Guardiola’s attack.

At 19, the future looks quite promising for Doue. Thus, the Mancunian giants would do well to get a deal done for him this summer.
