Scorers: Caldentay 58' [pen]; Fowler 22'
A 95th minute winner from Mary Fowler saw Manchester City knock Arsenal out of the women's League Cup in a chaotic affair at Meadow Park.
Though City began on the front foot, it was not until midway through the first half that they took the lead when Mary Fowler smashed the ball into the top corner after some industrious work from former Gunner Viv Miedama to drive through the midfield of her former side as City took a narrow lead into the interval.
The visitors twice hit the woodwork inside a minute after the break, and that came back to bite them as Manchester City gifted Arsenal a route back into the game.
Rebecca Knaak caught Stina Blackstenius, who was awarded a penalty despite staying on her feet, with Mariona Caldentey making no mistake from 12 yards.
Just moments later, Mary Fowler was bundled over in the Arsenal box, causing the referee to point to the spot once more. However, she couldn't find a way past Van Domselaar, handing Arsenal a lifeline in a chaotic three minutes.
Man City looked the more likely side to find a winner in normal time, as Jill Roord headed wide when well placed, but just as Arsenal looked to have held on for extra time, their hearts were broken as Mary Fowler grabbed a 95th minute winner for the visitors, atoning for her penalty miss and booking her side's spot in the next round.
