Manchester City make enquiry about Chelsea’s Malo Gusto | OneFootball

Having missed out on all forms of European football, Chelsea will be obliged to make sales this summer. There are plenty of ‘bankable’ assets in their squad, and one of them, Enzo Fernandez, is being heavily linked with an exit from Stamford Bridge this summer. 

As per a report from L’Équipe, Malo Gusto (23) is another player who could leave Chelsea over the summer. The France international, picked in Didier Deschamps’ FIFA World Cup squad, has been the subject of a recent enquiry from Manchester City, who, next season, are expected to be managed by former Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca. The Italian’s appointment has not yet been confirmed, although Pep Guardiola’s departure has.

Last season, Gusto played 49 games for Chelsea in all competitions. The Olympique Lyonnais academy product has found himself in competition with Reece James for a place in the team. He is part of Deschamps’ World Cup squad but is expected to be a back-up option to Jules Koundé.
