Despite persistent speculation linking him with a move to Spain, an Erling Haaland Real Madrid transfer is not expected to materialise this summer. 

However, according to Fabrizio Romano, the possibility of seeing the Norwegian striker at the Santiago Bernabéu in the future remains very much alive.

The latest Real Madrid transfer news suggests that while there are no ongoing negotiations between the two parties, Haaland views Real Madrid as a genuine option later in his career. 

At the same time, however, the player’s commitment to Manchester City remains unquestionable.

Romano’s update on Erling Haaland future makes it clear that the relationship between the player and the Premier League club continues to be extremely strong.

The Norwegian international is considered one of the central figures in City’s plans, even after Pep Guardiola’s exit, and continues to play a key role in the club’s long-term project.

It is said that Haaland is very happy in England, with the atmosphere between the player and Manchester City described as “super positive.”

That stance effectively rules out any possibility of an immediate Haaland to Real Madrid switch, despite ongoing transfer speculation involving the Manchester City star linked with Real Madrid.

Romano also addressed reports that emerged during Real Madrid’s presidential election campaign, where claims surfaced suggesting there had been an agreement in place involving Haaland.

The Italian journalist clarified that these stories were unfounded.

Previous claims promoted by presidential candidate Enrique Riquelme were dismissed as fake, with both Haaland’s father, Alfie Haaland, and agent Rafaela Pimenta publicly denying those reports.

Although a move is not being considered this year, the door has not been completely shut regarding an eventual Erling Haaland Real Madrid transfer.

Alfie Haaland recently admitted that the Spanish giants remain an attractive destination for any elite footballer.

Commenting on the possibility of a future move, he said, “Who doesn’t like Real Madrid?”

Those remarks have added fuel to the conversation surrounding Haaland father Real Madrid comments, particularly because neither the player nor his entourage has completely ruled out an eventual move to the Santiago Bernabéu.

At present, though, there is no deal, no talks and no planned move this summer. 

But the idea of Haaland has Real Madrid in his plans remains alive, meaning the speculation surrounding one of world football’s biggest stars is unlikely to disappear anytime soon.
