Manchester City sign Manchester United midfielder Clinton | OneFootball

Manchester City have completed the signing of Manchester United midfielder Grace Clinton on a four-year deal.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Cityzens this evening.

The 22-year-old joins Manchester City off the back of a three-year spell with neighbours Manchester United. The player spent time out on loan at Bristol City and Tottenham Hotspur before making her mark in The Red Devils team. Clinton made 28 appearances for Manchester United last season in which she scored nine goals.

On the international stage, Clinton has forced her way into the England squad. The midfielder has been capped on 16 occasions by the Lionesses while she has scored three goals. Clinton won UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 with England.

After joining Manchester City, Clinton said “City, for me, has always played an amazing style of football. Keeping the ball, it looks lovely, and there are amazing players [here].

“Hempo, Bunny, Miedema, Hasegawa are just a few of them and I want to get better and grow and learn things in my career and I think there are amazing people here to learn things from.

“To play this style of football will be really enjoyable.”

Clinton is Manchester City’s only Transfer Deadline Day signing.
