The Brazilian came on as a substitute during recent victories over Brighton and Tottenham.
She delivered a standout performance during the 5-1 victory over Tottenham, after coming on to replace the injured Lauren Hemp.
However, she was then absent from City’s 4-1 victory over the London City Lionesses.
Ahead of City’s clash with Arsenal on Saturday afternoon, head coach Andree Jeglertz provided an injury update on Kerolin.
City head coach Jeglertz has confirmed that Kerolin will be out of action for several weeks.
This means she likely won’t feature for the club again until after the international break later this month.
In his press conference, he said: “She is unfortunately not available for a number of weeks. She has lower body injury. She will be out for a while.”
Asked when she picked up the injury, he added: “Last week I think. We’re doing tests and unfortunately she is out for a number of weeks.”
There was some positive news as he confirmed that summer signing Iman Beney will be available for selection after missing the win over the London City Lionesses.
Another player who is still out of action is England international Hemp.
Before City’s win over London City, Jeglertz confirmed she would be out for a number of weeks with an ankle injury.
He said: “Of course, it’s a tough situation for her. She wants to play and we want her to play but injuries happen.
“She is doing everything she can to get back as quickly as possible and she needs to support the team in another way. Hopefully, she will be back soon.”
Kerolin is likely to miss at least three games for Manchester City.
City face Arsenal and Liverpool in the WSL, as well as Newcastle United in the Women’s League Cup.
Jeglertz will hope to have Kerolin back available for selection by the time City face West Ham on November 2nd, after the international break.
City are third in the WSL standings with three wins from their opening four games. They sit three points behind leaders Chelsea, and two ahead of this weekend’s opponents Arsenal.
The Gunners will look to return to winning ways after consecutive draws with Manchester United and Aston Villa.
